Bungie recently proclaimed that massively popular space shooter Destiny is nearing its end, with the developer to unveil the details on Age of Triumph, the last live event for the game, on March 8.

According to Bungie, Age of Triumph will be "a fun and memorable celebration" that will give Destiny its fitting close before the focus shifts to its sequel, which will be released this year.

Bungie Releases 'Age Of Triumph' Teaser

In advance of the announcement of the details for Age of Triumph, Bungie has released a teaser video for the upcoming and final Destiny update.

The video, which was uploaded through various channels including the official Twitter account of Destiny, hints that Age of Triumph will feature the biggest record book yet for the game. This means that there will be at least seven pages of quests that will be made available to players once the event launches, with some of the quests named Cutting Edge, Hunter and Hunted, A Burst of Light, Shock and Awe, and Doom of Oryx.

The teaser also claims that players will be able to "celebrate your legend" and "rediscover your finest moments" in Age of Triumph, which has Ryan Paradis as its lead designer and Joe Blackburn as senior designer.

"We thank you, guardian, and we will never forget," the teaser video concludes, while displaying the date and time of the official reveal of Age of Triumph to be March 8, 10:00 a.m. PST. The announcement will be done through a livestream on Bungie's official channel on Twitch.

'Destiny' Returns To The Vault Of Glass

The element of the teaser video that would excite Destiny players the most is that it hints at a return to the Vault of Glass, which is the very first raid for the space shooter. Many players consider Vault of Glass as the best raid ever released by Bungie for Destiny, and it will be interesting to see how the developer will reimagine the raid for its second run.

In a discussion on the official Destiny sub-Reddit regarding the teaser trailer for the Age of Triumph reveal, several players have expressed their excitement on the return of Vault of the Glass. It is not yet clear what awaits gamers, but the mere revival of the raid brings back many good memories for veteran players who have been playing the game since it was launched in 2014.

'Destiny 2' News

As Destiny nears the end of its first chapter with Age of Triumph, players have been looking forward to Destiny 2, especially after Activision confirmed in February that the sequel will be released some time this year.

There were reports from September 2016, however, that claimed that players will not be able to carry over their characters from Destiny into Destiny 2, worrying some gamers that have poured much effort and time into their Destiny accounts. This was confirmed by Bungie in the same post that announced Age of Triumph, with players only able to transfer the looks of their characters from Destiny to Destiny 2. All other progress, including character levels, skills, currency, weapons, and gear will not be carried over.
