If you are in search for that particular timepiece which will speak of style and innovation then it seems that the Swiss watch brand, TAG Heuer, will fulfill that wish of yours.

During a press event in San Francisco the luxury watch brand unveiled the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 smartwatch. It is said to be designed conjointly by Intel and Google.

Features Of The Modular 45

In order to appeal to its worldwide clientele, the makers will allow the Connected Modular 45 smartwatch to be fully customizable.

Perhaps the most interesting feature of the watch is that it will allow users to remove the smartwatch module and replace it with a normal mechanical module if they so wish.

Many believe that this feature is in reality a way of making the Connected Modular 45 time proof as users would be able to swap out the outdated modules and insert newer modules, which may be launched in the future.

Every part of the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 smartwatch is interchangeable and the company will let users choose from 56 variants of straps, lugs and buckles that can be changed easily by users themselves.

The straps will be available in various material options like titanium, leather, rubber and ceramic. These will also come in varying shades to match the users' preference.

The company, however, did state that while swapping out parts users will need to be careful about the alignment so that everything fits perfectly together.

Specs Of The Watch

The Connected Modular 45 smartwatch will sport a 1.39-inch AMOLED display along with 512 MB of RAM. It has been revealed that the product will come with 4 GB of storage capacity.

The timepiece will also be equipped with Intel Atom Z34XX chipset and will house a battery capacity of 410 mAh, which will allow it to run around 25 hours after a full charge.

It will also have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity along with NFC for Android Pay, which in return will let you make all your payments, browse the calendar, log your workouts and access e-mails.

The TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 will come with the latest Android Wear 2.0 preloaded upon its release.

Other features include customizable watch faces by using the Tag Heuer Connected app. It will also come embedded with various sensors like accelerometer, tilt detection, gyroscope, vibrations and haptics engine, microphone and ambient light sensor.

The Connected Modular 45 smartwatch will be available at various TAG Heuer stores, major retailers and specialty watch stores with a market price of $1650.

The company will also launch a $17,000 variant which will include the Titanium smartwatch module, as well as the mechanical module along with rubber and leather straps.
