The LG G6 is among the hottest smartphone flagships of this year, and it has already started reaching preorder customers on AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile.

LG unveiled its latest LG G6 powerhouse back at the Mobile World Congress 2017, and the smartphone is widely considered the company's best one to date. The LG G6 comes packed with top-notch specs and features on all fronts as well as a sleek design and the latest software to go along with it.

All major U.S. carriers started taking preorders for the hot new LG G6 earlier this month, offering a free Google Home and various other freebies to sweeten the deal. Prices and perks vary depending on carrier, and some preorder customers are already getting their LG G6 before the official U.S. release on April 7.

T-Mobile was the last of the four major U.S. carriers to start taking preorders for the LG G6, but it proved to be the first one to start shipping preorders. AT&T and Sprint are apparently following suit, as a few preorder customers have reportedly received delivery notifications for March 29.

Coincidentally (or not?), March 29 is a huge day for the Android scene, as the hotly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus make their formal debut. The new Samsung flagships will be in direct competition with the LG G6, gunning for the top Android smartphone title.

LG might get a slight edge in the competition since it released its LG G6 earlier, but it's going to be a fierce battle for the top spot nonetheless.

LG G6 Specs

For those unfamiliar with the latest LG flagship smartphone, the LG G6 has a QHD+ Full Vision 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,440 pixels at 564 pixels per inch, an 18:9 aspect ratio, and support for HDR10/ Dolby Vision. The smartphone has impressively thin bezels around the display, boasting an 80 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the LG G6 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 graphics and 4 GB of RAM to handle virtually any task you throw at it. Virtual reality fans might be happy to know the LG G6 supports Snapdragon VR SDK, which should translate to a cool VR experience.

The smartphone further features 32 GB of internal storage space expandable up to 2 TB via microSD, a dual rear camera setup with 13-megapixel cameras (one of which offers 125-degree wide-angle shooting), a 5-megapixel wide-angle front shooter, and a 3,300 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 to keep things going. The U.S. version of the LG G6 supports wireless charging.

The LG G6 is also IP68-certified for dust and water resistance and runs Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, complete with the much-touted Google Assistant.

LG G6 Release

As previously mentioned, the LG G6 will officially launch in the United States on April 6, but preorder customers have the chance to get it earlier.

While those who preordered the LG G6 from AT&T, Sprint, or T-Mobile are already starting to receive their devices, there's no word yet on Verizon deliveries. Nevertheless, Big Red should start shipping LG G6 preorders soon as well.
