Samsung's Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ released a week ago and users all over the world are pleased with the performance, design, and efficiency of the latest flagships from the South Korean company.

However, one of the major issues that owners may encounter is effectively accessing and utilizing the functionalities the two handsets support. For new users, the experience may be overwhelming and, therefore, Samsung Mobile uploaded a series of tutorial videos on YouTube, which are targeted toward Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners.

Tutorial Videos: What They Reveal About Smartphones' Functions

On Thursday, April 27, Samsung Mobile uploaded 11 such tutorial videos on its YouTube channel, each of them dealing the different features and functions the Galaxy S8 series owners can take advantage of.

The first couple of videos primarily deal with the design aspect of both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. They highlight the revolutionary bezel-less display of the phones along with the positioning of the fingerprint sensor, iris scanner, volume button, and the brand new Bixby button. The first video also elaborates on what the owners will receive in the box on buying either of the handsets.

The next video is targeted toward addressing how certain features of Bixby can be accessed and used. Particularly, the video outlines how a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ user can find information on an image by performing a search through the Bixby Vision functionality. It also shows how clicking the picture of a landmark with the smartphones will provide the user with information about a particular structure. It also shows off the translation functionality using Bixby.

Functionality Tutorial Videos

One of the videos details how the finger gestures work on the devices and familiarizes users on how to customize their Home Screen. It then goes on to elaborate on the multi-window and multi-tasking functionalities.

The next two videos detail how the iris scanner operates and how to set it up, along with the reminder functionality. Reminders have received some improvements since the last-gen models. Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ users will be able to use Bixby to set voice reminders.

The secure folder option is elaborated in one of the Samsung tutorial videos. It showcases how users can secure their apps and other personal data using both the pattern lock and fingerprint security feature.

The last four videos are completely dedicated to the use of Samsung's Gear VR with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. It gives users a detailed look into setting up the VR headsets with the phones. The video also details the settings that need to be modified to use this functionality.
