'Assassin's Creed: Origins' Will Have A Collectors's Edition Priced At $800
E3 is underway and Ubisoft decided to show off the first gameplay of its Assassin's Creed: Origins at the Microsoft conference. The series went on a hiatus after the launch of Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, but is now back.
The gameplay showed off its unique ancient Egyptian setting, as well as the combat and stealth mechanics. Assassin's Creed: Origins is set to release on October 27 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. However, later, Ubisoft also detailed the game's price and stated that the title will have five different special editions.
The costliest Collector's Edition will be priced at a whopping $800 and can be ordered now. However, unlike other edition preorders, people who order the $800 Collector's Edition for Assassin's Creed: Origins will get some of the package's content immediately, before the game's official release.
$800 Collector's Edition: What You Get Now
Consumers would be wondering what could possibly justify Ubisoft's decision to sell the Collector's Edition at such a steep price. However, what's included in the Collector's Edition will probably lure Assassin's Creed franchise fans to shell out the large sum for this edition.
The studio revealed that it will only produce 999 units of the Collector's Edition and each will contain a 28.7-inch highly detailed resin statue of the game's protagonist — Bayek — alongside his eagle companion Senu.
The box will also contain a resin eagle skull amulet replica, which Bayek wears in the game. Ubisoft will also offer owners of this edition a Collector's Certificate of Authenticity numbered 1 to 999.
Four Lithographs the studio artists at Ubisoft Montreal have signed will also be included in the box, along with two exclusive Assassin's Creed: Origins Steelbooks.
If one orders the Collector's Edition now, they will start receiving these items within days of placing the order. However, the game itself and other such relevant items will be shipped to customers after October 27.
Collector's Edition: What You Get After Release
After the worldwide release of the game, the Collector's Edition owners will start receiving the Gold Edition of Assassin's Creed: Origins, which includes the Season Pass for all future expansions and DLCs, along with the Digital Deluxe Pack, and three additional ability points at the game's start.
Owners will also be offered the game's art book, which details the design and concepts of the title. They will also receive the soundtrack of the game along with the printed version of a hand drawn map of the entire world of Assassin's Creed: Origins. The $800 Collector's Edition also brings two original art cards of the title.
Whether or not these unique items are worth the $800 is up to fans to decide. If you have the money to spend and want to get the cool collectible items in the package, head over to Ubisoft's store and purchase the Collector's Edition or preorder any of the other cheaper versions.
