OnePlus 5 Available For Preorder At OppoMart Ahead Of Official Launch
OnePlus is poised to launch its 2017 flagship OnePlus 5 on Tuesday, June 20, at 12:00 p.m. EDT. However, prior to the launch, OppoMart listed the handset on its website.
China-based smartphone reseller OppoMart listed the OnePlus 5 for preorder on its online store following the handset's flash sale registrations on JD.com in China. The OnePlus 5 is now available for preorder OppoMart and costs $549.
Preorder OnePlus 5 On OppoMart
The OnePlus 5 renders OppoMart uploaded are also taken from one of the many leaked images that surfaced online. The retailer also re-shared OnePlus' official invite for the smartphone's launch on June 20.
If one takes a close look at the images OppoMart uploaded, one can see that the OnePlus 5 — if viewed from the front panel — sports a volume up, volume down and power/lock keys on the right.
However, the image showing the OnePlus 5's back panel contradicts the other image and reveals that the volume rocker is located where three other keys were placed.
The rear image of OnePlus 5 looks incorrect because of the button's wrong placement. The front panel's image on OppoMart appears to be accurate, but the company did not confirm the same.
OppoMart Lists Rumored Specs For OnePlus 5
It is advisable to not fall into the trap of believing all the specs and features listed on the preorder page. OppoMart disclaims that the OnePlus 5's specifications on the page are based on rumors and are not officially confirmed. So far, OnePlus has only confirmed that the upcoming flagship will house the Snapdragon 835 processor.
OppoMart's listing reveals that the OnePlus 5 will boast a 5.5-inch QHD display. However, this information is inaccurate as in a roundabout way OnePlus confirmed that its new flagship will be sporting a 5.5-inch FHD display. In terms of the processor as well, OppoMart gets its information wrong.
Although OppoMart lists that the OnePlus 5 will house a quad-core Snapdragon 835 processor, the information is partly accurate. Sources familiar with the matter have revealed that the OnePlus 5's processor won't be a quad-core one but octa-core.
The retailer also lists that the OnePlus 5 will come with 6 GB of RAM. Although this seems probable, one can also expect a model with 8 GB of RAM. The device will be available in two storage variants — 64 GB and 128 GB. It is listed as having a 12-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. The handset also support a fingerprint scanner, which is located on the front.
When Will OppoMart Ship The OnePlus 5?
OnePlus fans can place their preorder for the yet-to-be-launched OnePlus 5, on OppoMart's online store. The retailer states that it will start shipping the upcoming OnePlus flagship in July beginning.
OppoMart is offering the 64 GB OnePlus 5 with the model number "A5000" for $549 in black. The 128 GB variant of the handset will cost $100 more.
