Blizzard wants anyone still on the fence about Overwatch to get into the popular first-person shooter this Christmas by putting it up on sale at 50 percent off.
If this deal sounds familiar to you, that's because the game also went down by the same amount in Black Friday. In other words, it's on par with bargains you'd see during the holiday shopping season.
Overwatch Discount Is Huge
Overwatch is available at half the price until 11:59 p.m. PT or 2:59 a.m. ET on Jan. 2.
That said, the standard edition is up for grabs at $19.99 down from the usual $39.99. On the other hand, the Game of the Year Edition is going to hold you back by only $29.99 instead of $59.99. There's also the option to upgrade from the standard edition to the GOTY Edition for $10.
To recap, the standard edition gives you access to the complete package: 26 heroes and 21 different maps. Meanwhile, the GOTY Edition comes with everything the standard version has to offer along with five Origin hero skins, 10 loot boxes, and in-game items for other Blizzard games such as Diablo III, Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft II, and World of Warcraft.
Needless to say, you can purchase the game on Battle.net, but you can nab a copy from a participating retailer as well.

Aside from the holiday sale, this is the best time to buy Overwatch since the Winter Wonderland event is already up and running, which brings a slew of features such as a boss fight against a yeti, a snowball match, and a ton of legendary skins.
