Weird Al has had one heck of a year. His latest album, Mandatory Fun, rose to the top of the charts, and his music videos received millions of views. But if, for whatever reason, his music career suddenly fizzles out, at least he can fall back on his new skills as a magician.

Posted to his YouTube channel, prepare to be amazed as Weird Al stuns you with the "Mysterious Floating Orb" magic trick. How does he do it?

It's okay, I was fooled too. This painfully simple trick actually looks pretty darn convincing with the right camera work. He just hides the soup ladle in his sleeve and makes sure to point the bottom of the ladle right at the camera. You can't see the handle or the other side of the ladle until Al wants you to, though if you are looking for it you can tell Al's shirt sleeve is being pulled down by something.

He puts on a good show, but maybe Weird Al should stick to musical parodies.
