Microsoft is refreshing its Xbox Game Pass list this May with two game releases, which includes one of its biggest title this year.

State Of Decay 2 Coming To Xbox Game Pass

The highlight this May is Undead Labs' State of Decay 2. It launches on Xbox Game Pass on the same day of release for Xbox One and Windows PC.

The sequel to the highly-rated Xbox exclusive continues to build upon the zombie-infested world with better graphics thanks to Unreal Engine 4. Just like the original title, the new installment focuses on the survival part, not on the slashing zombies' factor.

The studio also improves the character depth, and each one is procedurally generated so that each simulation is unique. It features cross-platform co-op multiplayer, which allows players to team up with one to three friends.

State of Decay 2 is set for a global release on May 22.

Roll7 Is Launching 'Laser League' In May

Meanwhile, another title that is coming to Xbox Game Pass and the Xbox One is Laser League, an arcade multiplayer shooter. The futuristic game from Roll7, best known for OlliOlli and Not a Hero, features six different classes and challenging maps.

The studio brings over its addictive gameplay to laser stadiums, where players can compete in laser fights to climb the leaderboards. The game rewards players with player kits, laser patterns, and emojis as they make progress.

Players can participate in 2v2 and 3v3 online matches or 4v4 local matches. Laser League has been on Steam Early Access since 2017, but it is finally leaving and releasing on May 10.

More Games Coming In May

In addition to these new game releases, six more titles are also joining the Xbox Game Pass service this May, starring the latest installment from the award-winning series, Pro Evolution Soccer 2018. The title is going to be available on May 1 up until Aug. 31.

Starting May 1, the co-op cooking game Overcooked, the open-world shooter Homefront: The Revolution, the prison break simulation title Escapists, the classic platformer Sonic & Knuckles, and the puzzle adventure game Unmechanical: Extended are also joining the over 100 titles available to subscribers.

The Xbox Game Pass is a Netflix-style subscription service wherein subscribers have access to a catalog of games for Xbox One. Players must be subscribed in order to enjoy the games above at no extra charge. However, they can still purchase the new games if they don't have an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
