Blizzard has seemingly confirmed a new Diablo game is in the works if a job listing on the company's website is any indication.

It's not an official confirmation, to be sure, and details about the unannounced project are basically nil, but the job specifically asks for a dungeon artist to work on a new entry for the Diablo franchise.

"The minions of Hell are growing stronger... We're working on a new, unannounced Diablo project," the listing states.

"Are you a skilled dungeon artist? Come work with us, and together we will build something exceptional."

Did Blizzard Just Confirm 'Diablo IV'?

It doesn't offer much else information beyond what the job entails modeling and texturing assets being a couple of the required skills, let alone hints on what the project could be. It does state, however, that the accepted applicant will get the chance to work on "the dark gothic world of Diablo, making great games, killing millions of monsters and getting loot." This could indicate the next game won't veer far from the typical look of a Diablo title.

Whether this project is a full-on sequel to Diablo III or something else remains to be seen. However, given the very few Diablo-related updates released in recent years such as Rise of the Necromancer DLC, fans have all been hoping that something is in development.

Perhaps Diablo is simply looking for new people to work the highly rumored Diablo III port for the Nintendo Switch? Either way, it's hard to say for sure.

E3 2018 Announcement Coming?

There's no telling when Blizzard plans to share more information about this unannounced title. It should be noted, however, that E3 2018 is right around the corner, a prime venue for new reveals. The fact that Blizzard is currently hiring means that the project is still in its early stages, so it's hard to imagine the company is saving anything Diablo-related for the upcoming gaming conference.

E3 is shaping up to be an exciting but highly unpredictable time for new game announcements. There's always a slim chance Blizzard pulls a bold move by announcing Diablo IV right out the gate. A fan can hope.

Any speculation on what this project is? Could Blizzard finally be starting development on Diablo IV? As always, if you have anything to share, feel free to sound them off in the comments section below!
