As expected from the title of the video game, "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" has connection to Norse Mythology. The video game player will not only get to travel around ninth century England, but they will also be allowed to traverse its version of Asgard.

"Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" has a whole story arc that takes place in the land of the gods, Asgard, with numerous quests and side objectives to complete.

Every Asgard & Jotunheim World Event

While in Asgard, the players will play the role of Havi. The Asgard & Jotunheim World Events are Food Of The Gods, Njord's Lament, Milk Of Humankind, Valhalla Bound, Noble Harts, Hel's Well, The Giants Of Fimbulwinter, Aegir's Daughter, The Puppeteer and Pit Of Slaughter, according to GameRant.

Taking Root quest guide

The Taking Root quest is one of the two missions during the Forging a Bond quest that is given by Ivaldi. During the Forging a Bond quest, Ivaldi gives Havi a coupe of riddles that he needs to solve, one of the riddles will help you solve the Taking Root quest.

The riddle tied to the Taking Root quest reads that "Cradles in rock, at Asgard's highest height, a seed sleeps in Ymir's cold grip. Warm it awake, bring it to water, for old bone to sprout with new life."

Valhalla players are looking for a seed at Asgard's height. The highest peak in Asgard in also a synchronization point, located on the southern Island above Utangard Chasm. If you have not activated the synchronization point, you can do so while you are there.

From the synchronization point, the players will notice a haystack below them, and should take a leap of faith into it as the seed from the riddle is placed right next to the haystack, TwinInfinite.

As per the riddle in the game, the players will need to warm the seed in order to awaken it. Make sure that the seed is on top of the hay and then light it on fire by using the torch.

Once the fire touches the seed, players will need to bring it to water, and there is also a pond located conveniently just over the cliff.

You can throw the seed into the waters below and you can dive into the pond right after seed. The seed then will have sprouted with new life and it will leave a root at the mouth of the pond for you to grab, according to GamesRadar.

As soon as the players have obtained the root from the seed, the Taking Root quest will be completed. The Taking Root quest is only one half of the Forging a Bond quest. The other half of the Forging a Bond quest is A Feline's Footfall, which must also be completed in order to progress Forging a Bond.

Once both the Taking Root quest and A Feline's Footfall quest are completed, Havi will need to go back to the newly sprouted root to Ivaldi in order to know why he needed it.

"Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" is now available for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and Stadia.
