There are initial reports that there will be no releases on the "Call of Duty" franchise this year. Still, it seems that it would defy the odds and bring the public the new title.
'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2' Confirmed by Activision Blizzard
"Call of Duty's" YouTube page cannot stress that there would be a new game coming this year, as it posted a video of its announcement for its confirmation. Here, it also shows the company's dedication to promoting the new title by wrapping a cargo ship with the game's elements, including its famous character, Simon Riley, a.k.a. "Ghost."
The video posted by "Call of Duty" made it seem that they are conducting a mission on the said cargo ship, closely looking into one of the stories or plots in the original game's release. A boat and cargo yard also shows different posters made by the developers and game creators about the new title, showing its new logo for the game.

'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2' When Is the Release Date?
According to CNet's report, the anticipated dates for its trailer drop would be some time in June, bringing its first look at the remastered game and what comes new for the modern gaming consoles. Additionally, the game's release date is expected later this year, and its anticipated dates will be by October, says leaks.
However, there are still no confirmations from Activision Blizzard and Infinity Ward regarding its release.

Back in late April, there was a "Call of Duty" title that gamers wished to see in the future installments of the company, and there are many speculations that this specific title will get a sequel. With the "Modern Warfare" lineup, it got a confirmation from its developers that the game is coming soon and would release the sequel for everyone.
