Peter Mayhew, the man behind the voice of Chewbacca in the Star Wars films, has been hospitalized with pneumonia. However, fans should not worry much because The Force is with him all the way.

The 70-year-old actor, from what we've come to understand, is recovering well, and should be out before the end of the month. His wife, Angie, took to Reddit where she explained to fans that he is fine, and gave thanks to them for all their best wishes and love.

"Thank you for all the well wishes, prayers, good vibes, and happy thoughts. Peter is indeed in the hospital with pneumonia," she said. "He will make a full recovery, and hope to be discharged within a few days. Doctors are incredibly happy with his improvements."

Before the report, rumors of Mayhew's poor health began to circulate the Internet after he canceled an appearance at a prominent comic-book shop in Texas. This isn't the first time the actor fell ill. A few years ago, he was brought to the hospital due to his height causing stress on his knee. He went on to have double knee replacement surgery.

For those who are unaware, Peter Mayhew is a very tall man. His height stands at 7 feet,3 inches, which makes him one of the tallest men in the world. It is no wonder he was chosen to play Chewbacca, since the character is quite tall.

We hope Mayhew has a full recovery, because the world needs him for 2015 to help promote Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He will reprise his role the Wookie who goes by the name Chewbacca, who is also the close friend of Han Solo.

We're certain the peer is going to cause some havoc in the film when it releases later in the year. Right now we can only hope that the film turns out well, because at age 70, we doubt Mayhew has a lot left in him to voice the character, despite all he says is "Agggghhhh."

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be released in theaters around the world in December of 2015.
