It all started with a poll, asking whether people with suspended accounts on Twitter get "General Amnesty" from Elon Musk and the new management of the company and return to the platform. This Twitter poll already concluded and the "people have spoken" with the results favoring the return of these suspended accounts, provided that it is within the law.

The return of these people to Twitter will start next week, and they may have a chance to retain their handles and usernames as long as they abide by the content moderation guidelines on the platform.

It's official- Twitter is bringing back people with suspended accounts back to the platform after his recent poll on the short word social media asking the general public for their return. The Twitter poll ended after 24 hours and garnered a massive 3,162,112 votes from those on social media, with 72,4 percent in favor of their return.

Only 27.6 percent of Twitter users disagreed with the proposition of the tech CEO.

Musk said that the "people have spoken," and the return of these people with suspended accounts will begin by next week, with their respective Twitter handles staying the same.

It also means that what Twitter worked on for the past years will get overturned with the return of these suspended users.

Suspended Twitter Accounts Can Return As Long as Its Legal

Musk's plans to bring back suspended accounts on Twitter would still abide by court laws and mandates regarding these people, and the tech CEO assures that it will follow each country's laws for it. This means that people with outstanding cases and convictions would not see their profiles return despite this general amnesty focus.

Elon Musk's New Content Moderation Policies

Chief Twit previously declared himself as the "Moderator-in-Chief" of Twitter's coverage of the US Midterm elections last November 8, and Elon Musk took charge of the happenings online. He also controlled the content flooding Twitter during that time, especially with the many thoughts and opinions from all sides, centering on his "free speech" campaign.

It is the goal of Musk in his patronage on Twitter, and it centers on bringing back the platform's former glory where people can speak their minds, despite being extreme, as long as it is within the law's premises.

Despite previously putting grave importance on Twitter's content moderation needs for the platform to monitor the information appearing online, it saw its dissolution before it was established. Musk previously blamed this on "political/social activist groups" which ended the deal between the new owner and those that will be given the responsibility to uphold morals on the platform.

Now, it seems like content moderation and Twitter's previous efforts towards creating a peaceful environment on the platform will see a challenge again, especially as banned or suspended accounts are making a return. Nevertheless, Twitter users' fears and worries are becoming true, especially with the people who previously did unspeakable acts being given a platform again, with Elon Musk's Twitter.
