Yelp is a one-stop local platform for customers to access reliable business information, photos, and review content. A report from Engadget tells us that the platform is now offering users a more refined way to keep tabs on communications with service professionals, especially with home improvement solutions.

Redesigned for Users and Businesses

Yelp was established to make hiring home and local service companies more efficient and pleasant. Now, users can create, manage, and organize jobs using the newly introduced Projects tab in the Yelp app. This is part of the company's mission of connecting consumers with local service professionals while also delivering an increasing amount of quality leads to business owners.

Yelp has announced several new service features to enhance consumers' and companies' discovery and hiring experiences. Following Yelp, the tool will allow users to seek quotes from businesses, compare pricing, message contractors, and book consultations.

People will now find a new 'Projects' experience in the Yelp app, where they can conveniently monitor and manage all of their service projects and respond to messages quickly with a one-click email authentication link.

Furthermore, as part of the Yelp for Business experience, the company overhauled the message inbox, assisting service organizations in better managing their leads.

Message Yourself

When you receive the update, you will see yourself at the top of the contacts list when composing new messages. Once you click on it, you can send yourself notes, reminders, shopping lists, and anything else you may need to remember.

If enabled, the resulting notification can ensure that your self-note is not ignored. Users can also put their Message Yourself discussions at the top of a conversation list to make them easier to find.

People can now compare various quotations more quickly and hire service providers with confidence thanks to the enhanced experience. Through Yelp, users can quickly start new projects by requesting quotes, scheduling consultations, comparing costs, and tracking the progress of those tasks.

Driving High-Quality Leads

Yelp revamped the inbox experience for company owners into a more central messaging center to further assist services businesses in managing their leads efficiently.

The most crucial details, such as project titles, locations, time, and message previews, are front and center in the redesigned inbox. This makes it simple for business owners to access and communicate with leads from Yelp's Request A Quote, Request A Call, and Nearby Jobs pages.

Customers can explore the new 'Projects' page by downloading the latest version of the Yelp iOS or Android app. Log in to your Yelp for Business iOS or web account to get the updated inbox experience.
