This year saw OnePlus release its most competitive line of smartphones in the form of the OnePlus 10 Pro and the OnePlus 10T. The year is still ongoing, and rumors and leaks suggest another model is on the way to surprise OnePlus fans.

We examined the leaks around the highly anticipated OnePlus 11 back in September. This post will go through everything we know about OnePlus' next smartphone.

In the Know: Leaked Design and Specifications

According to a Dec. 6 Tech Times report, the forthcoming Android flagship smartphone will include an alert slider. Following the report, the OnePlus 11 will have a round camera module rather than the traditional rectangle shape.

The smartphone is also available in two stylish color variants. If you like the classic black color, you might be able to get your hands on this future tablet in that shade. The other option is a dark green color that appears close to the iPhone 13.

Previous reports have provided us with enough clues to know how the phone will perform. The smartphone is rumored to include a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Meanwhile, the upcoming OnePlus flagship is said to sport an improved camera module. The phone now includes a circular camera island with three sensors, an LED flash, and Hasselblad branding. Additionally, the OnePlus 11's camera island flows over to the left edge.

The smartphone is also said to have the same 5,000 mAh battery as the OnePlus 10 Pro, but with the addition of 100W fast charging. The previous OnePlus 10 Pro allowed consumers to charge their phones in 30 minutes with a 65W charger.

The company also stated that it would provide up to five years of security fixes for its devices. The OnePlus 11, which is still on the way, will be supported by four major software updates. The smartphone apparently comes with OxygenOS 13 and Android 13 updates.

This means that the smartphone will receive Android 14, Android 15, and Android 16 updates. In contrast to Samsung's monthly security patches, security patches are scheduled to arrive bi-monthly.

OnePlus 11 Pricing and Release Date

According to XDA, most OnePlus flagships landed in the United States in March or April, so the OnePlus 11 will likely follow suit. The OnePlus 11 is also expected to be released in China in January 2023, followed by a global debut in early spring. Given that pattern, the OnePlus 11 should be available around March or April 2023, with a possible China-only debut in January 2023.

Despite reports that there will be no "Pro" model in 2023, many predict the OnePlus 11 to be priced similarly to the OnePlus 10 Pro. It makes sense for the company to stay in the sub-$900 price range and fight for the same market share as its current flagship.
