Dubai Crypto Venture Capital (DCVC) held its updated version of Dubai Crypto Thursdays on February 23 at Opus Tower. The exclusive event attracted over 50 venture capitalists, over 100 investors, 120 crypto executives, and 12 startups.

DCVC was supported by Desert Storm Podcast Studio and market-agnostic agency Jeta, with support from the Crypto Executives community, the GuyWay community, the Connect+ community, DSRPTD TV, DSRPTD Blog and News, and Pixel media.th. It was as well supported by TONBanking and aimed to engage and entertain a broader audience beyond the crypto community

Marat Minkin, the creator and ideological inspirer of the event, noted that the event was a success due to its selectivity, art, and broadened audience. He said:

"I'm so proud that we managed to host such an event as DCVC. When you conduct updates, you always worry whether your audience is satisfied with the result. We did everything to make DCVC different from our previous Crypto Thursdays and any other crypto events. We focused on selectivity, added a bit of art, and broadened the audience - and here's the result. Besides, we raised the event status with the top executives in the C-level zone. In my opinion, the reboot was an absolute success."

Marat Minkin's Event (DCVC): Three Zones, 12 Startups, and a Successful Pitching Event

DCVC was divided into the Main Stage, C-level, and Art zones. The startups pitched their projects on the Main Stage, where they presented the essence of their projects and unique features. The presentations were not just mere pitches but live discussions, allowing VCs and the audience to ask questions and comment on the speakers' ideas. Participants received a professional opinion on all the projects and learned all the necessary information, including their profitability.

The startup presentations were divided into three blocks, each including presentations of four projects. The DCVC startups included the Telegram-based infrastructural project (Startup Market), a cross-chain protocol for DeFi (Unilayer), the first Zilliqa banking (Zeeves PTE), the ecosystem for trading (Swipe2Trade), metaverse ecosystem project (2040world), game-to-earn project (Cosmic FOMO), a platform to bring people into the crypto industry through smart competition and smart objectives (Banger Games), web 3.0 video game publisher and ecosystem (AA Meta), web2 connecting people, places, and products, a hyper-accurate indoor positioning technology (BeQ), social outsourcing project for NPOs and volunteers (Feel lnd), fitness, stretching, and fundamental business Top Stretching, and web 3 referral SDK Network WEB2/3 CRM.

After each presentation, VCs provided comments to clarify any issues. Swipe2Trade won the main prize of DCVC. Overall, DCVC was an exclusive event that provided a platform for startups to pitch their projects and receive feedback from VCs and the audience. The event aimed to engage a broader audience beyond the crypto community and succeeded in providing valuable insights and opportunities for all participants.

DCVC Bridges the Gap between Crypto and Art, Attracts Prominent Figures

A group of high-profile individuals, including CEOs and other executives, attended the DCVC event, along with several other notable figures. Throughout the event, these C-level officials were interviewed in a mobile studio, and the interviews were broadcasted on a big screen in real time for all attendees to see.

The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished individuals, including Jay Hao, the CEO of OKX Exchange Worldwide; Marwan Alzarouni, CEO of Dubai Blockchain Center (DBCC); Marat Minkin, founder of TonBanking, a DEFI platform in the Telegram ecosystem and TONCOIN community in Dubai, as well as co-founder of IQ commodity exchange and advisor of BantGo; Wasim Al Imam, co-founder of TonBanking; Davinci Jeremie, a speaker and crypto educator; Assem Mansour, Senior Vice President of Business Development for the HH Sheikh Faisal Al Nuaimi Group in the UAE; Guy Yanpolskiy, UAE Business Concierge; Diana Dalo, of Sun Holdings Capital; Hicham BELGOUM, a private equity and venture capital professional; Avgusta Geneses, of MindRock Capital; Kira Murasheva; Alexey Murashev of AM Capital; Rupert Searle, a private investor with Globaleye; Evgeniy Arkhipov, founder of DDS Soft & DDS Capital; and Tatyana Titova, a global expansion advisor and Web3 community Guru Collective member.

The Art zone was also represented at DCVC, with the Charity Kiss project showcasing NFT works inspired by Gustav Klimt's famous painting, The Kiss. Tim Gareev, the strategic mascot of Jeta, was involved in this project. The event concluded with the final startup presentation at 9:15 pm, followed by VC comments. The formal part of DCVC ended at around 9:30 pm, and the afterparty began.

Co-founder of TONBanking Foundation, Wasim Al Imam, believes that the event was a high-level crypto event that served as a platform between creators and sponsors without becoming franchising. He stated:

"When planning the event, we faced the true Hamlet question: to be the platform between creators and sponsors and not to be the franchising. As for me, we have covered this point. DCVC joined together prospective startups and VCs who were looking for reliable investments. It was a purely high-level crypto event that involved even the non-crypto community with its art element. As a result, the startups got a professional point of view and budgets, and VCs found the investment options. Well, everyone profited."

Notably, the DCVC event successfully brought together promising startups and VCs seeking reliable investments. Integrating an art element attracted a diverse audience, resulting in startups gaining professional perspectives and budgets and VCs finding potential investment options. The success of DCVC opens up new possibilities for Crypto Thursdays to create a robust international community.
