Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' hit song "Uptown Funk" may already be popular as evidenced by the song's impressive placement in the Billboard charts, but its popularity is getting another boost now that U.S. President Barack Obama himself can be heard rapping the track in place of Bruno Mars.

The President of course is not trying to build a new career in the music industry. He is too busy addressing America's problem to take a time off to record some hit song. While he may be heard rapping to the global hit in a new video, the clip was actually made by masher-upper Baracksdubs.

The President's version of the chart topping hit was made using bits and pieces of videos that were taken from some of his speeches. By splicing snippets from these speeches together, the makers of the mash-up have made it appear that the Commander-in-Chief is singing the hit song.

The video, which was uploaded to Baracksdubs' YouTube channel on Jan. 27, has so far already gathered over 850,000 views a day since it was published. Some of the video's watchers commented that they hoped the President would be able to watch the video.

It isn't also the first time that Baracksdubs came up with a presidential mash-up having already made quite a number including versions of Justin Timberlake's SexyBack, Iggy Azalea's Fancy, Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe, Lady Gaga's Born this Way, One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful, Demi Lovato's Made in the U.S.A, and MC Hammer's U Can't Touch This, among others.

Obama's new video of the chart topper came after a high school teacher in Dallas assigned his students to make a music video inspired by the hit song, an effort that resulted in an impressive clip that has already accumulated over five million page views.

Mars himself took notice of the clip when it has started to make the Internet rounds. The singer then applauded the students' efforts on social media.

"I cried at the end," Mars wrote on Facebook. "I'm still a thug though. Thank you to everyone involved in making this video."

"Uptown Funk" continues to reign in the Billboard 100 chart for the fourth week followed by Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud."
