Sprint has just released the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy S5. It's a big update, literally, and will reduce internal storage by close to 1 GB after installation.

Android fans have been patiently waiting to get the sweet taste of Android 5.0 Lollipop and all of its new features on existing smartphones. Several smartphone manufacturers have already committed to releasing the update and many have begun sending the update out OTA (over the air) to current flagship handsets or are in the process of preparing to release Lollipop in the near future.

We just reported that Samsung has started the upgrade for the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 in Russia, signaling a potential imminent release for its U.S. variants of both devices. Samsung and Verizon have already started showing U.S. Galaxy S5 owners some Lollipop love by officially sending out an OTA (over the air) update to the Galaxy S5.
