Smartphone users looking to purchase Google's latest flagship phablet have a new option. Amazon is now offering the 32 GB unlocked Nexus 6 with free shipping for Prime members.

2014 saw the release of phablets from veterans like Samsung with its Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, LG's 5.5-inch G3, as well as new players, including Apple's iPhone 6 Plus and Google's Nexus 6. These jumbo-sized smartphones have been selling extremely well and validate that these giant handsets aren't a passing fad.

When designing the Nexus 6 with Motorola, Google chose to go even bigger than its competitors and shipped the smartphone with a large 5.9-inch Quad HD display. The company also focused on giving the device a more premium and solid feel by using a contoured aluminum frame and curved back, which makes it feel great in the hand.

The Nexus 6 is currently available from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular and we recently reported that the phablet is heading to Verizon in the near future. The unlocked Nexus 6 is currently offered via the Google Play Store and through Motorola's site, and now Amazon has officially started selling the phablet.

The Nexus 6 boasts a 5.9-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD display with a high pixel density of 493 pixels per inch (ppi) and ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop. It's packing a powerful 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU (graphics processing unit), and has 3 GB of RAM.

The Nexus 6 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilization) and 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. It includes 32 GB of internal storage and its 3,220 mAh battery will provide up to 24 hours of battery life.

Amazon is offering the 32 GB Nexus 6 in choice of Midnight Blue and Cloud White for $649.99 with free shipping for Amazon Prime members.
