"Run, Forrest, run!"

It's one of the famous lines from the classic 1994 movie Forrest Gump, and now you can run like him too.

Nike announced that it is bringing back the Classic Cortez running shoes that were worn by Tom Hank's famous slow-witted everyman.

The movie, which references many historical events and pop culture trends, features a scene where Gump wears the Nike shoes as he runs cross-country from Alabama to the Southwest because he "just felt like running."

As a sign of the times, Jenny, his long-time love in the film, gifts Gump the Nike sneakers. He also wears the Cortez shoes in the park bench scene where he says the famous "life is like a box chocolates" line.

The Nike Cortez sneakers were popular in the '70s, first hitting shelves in 1972. They were invented by Nike co-founder Bill Bowman to be a track shoe that was functional.

Nike will be selling the very same pair as seen in the movie, which are predominately white with a blue line on the bottom and a red Nike swoosh.

The Classic Cortez shoes have been available before through online outlets, but Nike is officially bringing them back as a celebration "of its legendary 43-year journey."

The Nike Cortez shoes will be available to order in select stores and online on February 28 and will retail $100, making them a fraction of the cost of Kanye West's Yeezy Boot shoes, which retail for $350—not to mention the Nike shoes are way cooler.
