Samsung just unveiled its new flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and curved display Galaxy S6 Edge. Here's a roundup of which U.S. carriers and retailers will offer the smartphones, the expected release date, and pricing information.

Samsung kicked off Mobile World Congress 2015 with not one new flagship smartphone, but two. The company unveiled the Galaxy S6 and unique dual-display Galaxy S6 Edge at a press event in Barcelona. Last year's Galaxy S5 introduction produced mixed results from the tech community due to the smartphone's not being much of a step up in terms of design and features as its Galaxy S4 predecessor. This year, Samsung showed off its innovative prowess and new design direction with the metal and glass Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are ultra thin and extremely powerful smartphones, thanks to octa-core processors, bright and crisp Quad HD displays. The S6 Edge's unique dual-display not only looks fluid and gorgeous, it will alert users of notification from favorite contacts with a glow that radiates from its edges, so it's not even necessary to pick up the phone to see who's contacting you. The company also built the S6 and S6 Edge to be extremely durable handsets and claims the metal used in both devices are 50% stronger than any current smartphone and won't bend, an obvious dig at Apple's rumored "Bendgate" controversy that flooded the internet after the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus went on sale last September.

Samsung has wisely chosen to use the same high-end specs in both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge; the only notable difference lies in the S6 Edge's dual-display. The Galaxy S6 features a 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD Super AMOLED display, while the Galaxy S6 Edge boasts a 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD dual-edge Super AMOLED display with a high pixel density of 577 pixels per inch (ppi). Both smartphones run Android 5.0 Lollipop and are powered by a 64-bit octa-core processor and 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The S6 and S6 Edge come in storage configurations of 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Camera capabilities consist of a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization) and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for video chat and selfies.

The Galaxy S6's dimensions come in at 143.4 x 70.5 x 6.8mm, 138g and includes a non-removable 2,550 mAh battery, while the S6 Edge comes in at 142.1 x 70.1 x 7.0mm, 132g and includes a non-removable 2,600 mAh battery. Samsung has built in wireless charging out of the box,  while you'll need to supply the charging pad. The Samsung Galaxy S6 will be available in choice of White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, and Blue Topaz, while the Galaxy S6 Edge will be offered in choice of White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, and Green Emerald.

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S6 will be available from U.S. carriers, AT&T, Verizon Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Boost Mobile, Cricket, and MetroPCS.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will be offered by AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular. Both smartphones will be available from retailers, Best Buy, Amazon, Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart, and Target.

Samsung hasn't revealed pricing for either the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 Edge, but consumers should expect the entry level 32GB Galaxy S6 to be priced at $199 with a new 2-year contract and 32GB Galaxy S6 Edge for $299 with a new 2-year contract.

Samsung has stated that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will go on sale on April 10 and once we get any new information, you can be rest assured we'll pass it on.
