There was once a time when MTV actually played music videos. It was a time where we would rush home from school to watch our favorite ones on TRL. Music in the '90s consisted of a countless barrage of bubble gum pop songs with catchy lyrics that remain imprinted in our minds forever.

How could we forget the iconic school girl getup Britney wore in "...Baby One More Time," or Eminem in a straight jacket in the "My Name Is" video?

Sadly, this generation of teenagers did not get to live in the era of Skeckers, hoop earrings and bucket hats and get to see some of the strange fashion trends of the times carried out by celebs in their videos.

However, in a new video from Buzzfeed, teens who were born in the latter half of the 1990s watch '90s music videos for the first time—and to no surprise— their reactions make us feel really old.

The teens were shown video classics from Britney Spears, Sisqó, Missy Elliot, Shania Twain and Eiffel 65.

The video starts off with an interesting comment was from a 17-year-old girl on the objectification of women in media. "I thought that, like, it was more like 2010 that, like, women were being objectified, but I feel like it started earlier than I thought," she says.

If you have ever seen the "Thong Song" than you know that this concept is nothing new. Still, it's interesting to see these young, naive souls be exposed to all the glory of the '90s.

The teens learn that school may actually be fun, well according to the princess of pop.

"Is this is what high school is supposed to be like?" one boy asks while watching Britney Spears' first music video. "I hope so," a girl responds. "It's like a dirty high school musical," another girl says as she watches Britney dance alongside lockers in her iconic naughty school girl look.

Other teens recognizes Sisqó's "Thong Song" only because it was on Glee, while another teen asks what we were never thought to ask, "Why is his hair white?"

A teen calls the music video a tame version of Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda," even though there is some light twerking, and notices that the bathing suits were much more scandalous in the '90s than now.

The teens are pretty much confused by Eiffel 65's "Blue (Da Ba Dee)," the song we just couldn't get enough of in the '90s, a time where it all made sense. They didn't understand why everything was blue and were less than impressed by the video's graphics.

"Whoever edited this must just have been like, my life is over at this point," the young man says.

While many where happy to see Missy Elliot during Katy Perry's Superbowl Halftime Show, of course teens have no clue who the rapper is. One teen wasn't sure she is a female and didn't get the black trash bag fashion.

Shania Twain was huge in the '90s, so the girl called her "Taylor Swift, but with leopard print," is pretty on point on that observation.

One teen summed up '90s music videos as being more abstract than those today. While the trends of videos have changed, at least one teen believes that something from the '90s could make a comeback—frosted tips.

Yep, we still feel old.
