A birthday is every kid's favorite day of the year. It's a day to cut into some cake, open presents and enjoy fun activities with friends.

Every kid loves getting an invitation for a classmate's birthday party, but when kids starting hitting their teenage years, the last thing they want to do is attend a party that their parents force them into.

Still, a teen's 13th birthday a milestone worth celebrating.

So when the mother of 13-year-old Odin Camus found out that no one was attending her son's birthday party, she took matters into her own hands to make the day special by inviting the entire internet to join in the celebration.

Camus' birthday party was supposed to be a day at the bowling alley decorated with birthday balloons and all his favorite foods. But because the Petersborough, Ontario teen has Asperger's syndrome, it is hard for him to make friends, and not one single person RSVP'ed to his bowling bash.

So Odin's mother Melissa took to Facebook to invite the internet to attend a virtual birthday party for her teen by sending him birthday wishes on social media.

"Not a single kid he invited could make it to his birthday," she writes, revealing that because of her son's Asperger's, he is often bullied. "I decided to create this event, and hopefully some of you can make it."

And some became a lot of people. The post went viral, with over 5,000 people sending their well wishes. The post led to the Twitter hashtag #OdinBirthday, where the teen received birthday wishes from celebrities like Carrie Underwood, Molly Ringwald and Elijah Wood.

Odin went from having no one at his birthday party to being sent lots of love from Hollywoods biggest celebs. And the 13-year-old will continue to celebrate his birthday in big way after being invited to be a guest at a Blue Jays baseball game.

Other Canadian sports teams also tweeted him happy birthday like the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Maple Leafs.

While Odin is probably looking forward to the summer game, he still got his bowling birthday party. On Friday night, he was taken to the bowling alley in a limo like a celebrity and celebrated with 450 people who came out to support him.

Try beating that 13th birthday celebration.
