Another day, another rumor regarding the 2016 film, Suicide Squad. This time around, it has a lot to do with Amanda Waller and the unique artifacts among her collection.
It appears as if Warner Bros. is aiming to link the film with the DC Universe in more ways than one.
According to a report from Latino Review via Instagram, Amanda Waller has in her possession a trident, a weapon that belongs to Aquaman. We are not sure how she got her hands on it or if she has come across the King of Atlantis in the past.
"Sources tell me in the lower levels of the prison where #AMANDAWALLER keeps all the SUPER POWERED META HUMANS, she has inside a trophy case — #AQUAMAN's TRIDENT as seen in the recently released still with #JasonMomoa! How did she come into the trident's possession? What happened to Aquaman in #BatmanvSupermanDawnofJustice? The plot certainly thickens! Very cool nonetheless. Love me a good mystery."
While this rumor is awesome to read, we find it difficult to believe that Waller could get her hands on Aquaman's Trident unless he came across a number of her men before. Probably, he came on land and was overwhelmed to the point where he dropped his Trident in a hasty retreat.
Earlier rumors claim Waller is attempting to keep a handle on all the meta-humans popping up around the world, so Aquaman could be one of her first targets. Who knows, maybe he is captured and locked up in a special facility.
For now, all we can do is speculate and continue to bear in mind that this report is a rumor and nothing else.
