The Flash episode 21 will put Gorilla Grodd front and center as Barry and the team scramble to bring down the Reverse-Flash.

The synopsis of the episode, which is called, "Grodd Lives" is all about the team, which includes Cisco, Caitlin, Joe, and Barry, making moves to go after Eobard Thawne. However, to distract everyone, Thawne unleashed Grodd into the city, and it is up to them to take him down.

But things never go according to plan, as Grodd managed to get his hands on Joe. This episode should give viewers the first battle between The Flash and Grodd, but don't expect it to be long since it would likely take a lot of CGI work to get these two characters in the same scene.

The synopsis:

"GRODD RETURNS! - Barry (Grant Gustin) must deal with the Reverse Flash's (Tom Cavanagh) latest threat to a member of the group. To make matter worse, Dr. Wells unleashes Grodd on the city in order to distract Barry and the team. Joe (Jesse L. Martin), Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) head down into the sewers to catch Grodd but the gorilla quickly gets the upper hand after he kidnaps Joe. Iris (Candice Patton) and Barry have a heart to heart talk. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & Kai Yu Wu."

We can only hope that Grodd is not captured in this episode because it would be a sad premature end to the character's short time on screen. The writers should save him for Season 2 because by then, the budget should increase and they would have the option to do bigger and better things.

In the comics, Grodd is a smart being who was once a normal Gorilla. He now possesses the power of speech and telekinesis. It makes him a worthy foe, even to the Justice League.

There was a time when Grodd aspired to turn every human in apes, and he nearly succeeded too. So the potential is there for the character to grow into his own, and not be swiped off screen as fast as he came in similar fashion to Deathbolt on Arrow.
