The reviews are pouring in for Avengers: Age of Ultron, and from what we have gathered, the film is good but not as good when compared with its predecessor. We didn't expect it to surpass the first Avengers movie in quality, so this is not surprising.

Many critics seem turned off by the Hulk and Black Widow romance. We had an idea this would be a problem because, in the trailers, the whole thing came off as forced and unwanted. Let us not kid ourselves here, Scarlett Johansson is a decent actress, but not good enough to pull off believable romantic scenes.

Apart from the Hulk and Black Widow, some critics are not pleased with Nick Fury. We won't spoil the big "WTF" Nick Fury moment, just know that, for diehard fans, this is going to be a huge problem, no doubt.

Additionally, it appears as if Quicksilver was a tremendous disappointment. Sure, Marvel's take on the character is more accurate to the comics when compared with the one in X-Men: Days of Future Past, but he is not as exciting. We do not view this as shocking because it did not enter our thoughts enough after seeing all the trailers.

One critic painted the film as a "$250 million pile of poo," while another stated the movie was missing an intelligible story. This is the problem with most Marvel Studios films outside of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. They are overstuffed with the humor at the expense of a strong story.

It is always as if Marvel believes its fans are not smart enough to understand a movie with a clever story, one that is not too fluffed with humor. From what we are hearing, it seems Avengers: Age of Ultron will follow the footsteps of its predecessor by being the talk of the town for two weeks, and then after that, nothing.

The Dark Knight trilogy, while not the best representation of Batman, is still talked about to this very day.

Marvel should read these reviews and realize that it needs to cut down on the campiness because history has shown that the success of silly superhero movies only lasts for a time.

At the time of writing, Avengers: Age of Ultron has a rating of 80 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
