How well do you know the geography of Earth? If you're good, you might want to check out NASA astronaut Scott Kelly's daily trivia challenge on Twitter.

Every day, Kelly will post a photo taken from the International Space Station (ISS) where he's currently living for a year. That photo will feature a place on Earth: the first person to correctly reply with the name of the correct place will a copy of that photo signed by Kelly once he returns to Earth next year.

Kelly began his challenge yesterday, on Earth Day, and plans on posting a photo every day until his mission ends in March, 2016.

Here was yesterday's challenge:

Last month, Kelly arrived at the space station, along with Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko. Both astronauts plan on spending a year in space for research on how long-term space travel affects the body and mind, as well as to test therapies and treatments to prevent the negative physical effects of space on the body, such as the loss of bone and muscle mass. This is the first time such an experiment has been done.

Kelly's other mission is to capture images of Earth's geography for science.

"Expanding our geography knowledge is essential to our economic well-being, our relationships with other nations and the environment," says Kelly. "It helps us make sense of our world and allows us to make connections between people and places. Space exploration is a global endeavor, and the International Space Station is the result of these connections."

You can learn more about the trivial challenge, as well as learn about its rules on NASA's website.
