Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on T-Mobile have patiently been waiting for Android 5.0 Lollipop. T-Mobile's Product Manger recently tweeted; the update will be released this week.

Samsung has been working with carriers to release its promised Android 5.0 Lollipop software update to its flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 4. The new OS provides an enhanced notification system, which neatly displays pending notifications on the lock screen and 'heads up' notifications are displayed as banners towards the top of the display.

Android 5.0 Lollipop also focuses on performance and battery life enhancements. The OS has been making its way to most of Samsung's existing smartphone lineup in the form of an OTA (over the air) update. The company's latest flagship smartphones; the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge ship with Lollipop installed out of the box.

Samsung's current flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 4 has received its Android 5.0 Lollipop update on all major carriers in the U.S., except T-Mobile. Verizon, Sprint and AT&T have all released the updates to users on their respective networks, with mixed results. Some users are pleased with the update and find it to be an improvement, while others are complaining of myriad performance issues and problems that have many of them wishing the were still on Kit Kat.

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 4 owners won't have to wait too much longer to recieve thier update, as T-Mobile's Product Manager, Des Smith posted to Twitter on April 24, "This just in!!! Technical Acceptance on #Note4 Lollipop software update achieved! Should start to rollout next week! Woot woot!"

We'll keep our eyes posted for any news of an exact release date for the T-Mobile Android 5.0 Lollipop updte and report back as soon as any new information becomes available.
