Everyone knows that there are a few different kinds of bad movies: there are the bad movies that are still worth watching, there are the movies that are so bad that they're hilarious ... and then there are the films that make you question why you watch movies in the first place.

Picking the worst movies ever made isn't an easy task: after all, different people will always have different opinions on any number of factors.

That being said, there times in which humanity with throw aside its inherent differences and come together: the following five movies have yet to receive a single positive review during their time on Rotten Tomatoes.

For all intents and purposes, these are truly the worst movies of all time:

5: Baby Geniuses 2: Superbabies (2004)

As if the title didn't give it away, Baby Geniuses 2: Superbabies is the sequel to 1999′s Baby Geniuses, because one film featuring a cast of horrifying CG babies just wasn't enough. Baby Geniuses 2 wasn't a good superhero movie, it wasn't funny, and it probably wasn't worth making in the first place.

4: A Thousand Words (2012)

Depending on the year, Eddie Murphy is either a comedic genius or one of the saddest acts in the business. In 2012, A Thousand Words was released — and fans soon realized that 2012 would be one of the sad years. The idea of an Eddie Murphy movie without the actor's iconic voice is just plain stupid, and the rest of the movie wasn't any better.

3: Pinocchio (2002)

Ever since Disney animated the classic tale, Pinocchio has been one of the most iconic stories ever put to film. The 2002 Italian version retells the same story as the Disney classic, but the American version botched just about everything it possibly could — a film doesn't just earn six Razzie nominations for no reason.

2: One Missed Call (2008)

There are hundreds of terrible, terrible horror movies out there — but most are, at the very least, watchable. One Missed Call, on the other hand, is an amalgamation of everything wrong in horror films: it's unoriginal, it's boring and it's the complete opposite of scary. If you want something decent, just watch any of the other significantly better Japanese remakes from the late '00s.

1: Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever (2002)

Back in the early '00s, studios were desperately trying to match the success of 1999′s The Matrix. There were hundreds of terrible action movie ripoffs made, but Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever definitely had potential: Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu were bona-fide action stars at the time, and the two of them working together onscreen should have been great. Instead, fans got the worst action movie of all time. It's almost impossible to understand what's going on, both stars are at their absolute worst and at the end of the day, it's just not fun to watch.

There are mediocre movies, bad movies, absolutely awful movies — and then, there are the movies so terrible that not one person can find a single decent thing to say about them. There are bad movies worth watching, like Birdemic and The Room ... and then, there are movies like Baby Geniuses 2 and Ballistic, which are more of a waste of time than anything else.

Let's just hope it's a long, long time before any of these movies lose their spot.
