It’s time to take a look at all the new developments that have occurred in the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop updates for Samsung’s Galaxy smartphone series, which includes the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy S5 Active, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S5 Mini and Galaxy S4 Mini.

Galaxy S6/S6 Edge: Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, but the company has recently been issuing smaller 5.0.2 updates to address various bugs and issues. Vodafone subscribers in the U.K. and Italy were the first to be treated to these updates, and they have also been confirmed for Australia, with other international regions soon to follow. In the U.S., AT&T and Sprint recently issued 5.0.2 updates for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, respectively. No word yet on when Android 5.1.1 will hit the new devices.

Galaxy S5: While all five major U.S. carriers released the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to their users by April’s end, Sprint recently pushed out a brand new Android 5.0 Lollipop update that added factory reset protection and may also contain some bug fixes. While many international users are still awaiting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, Australian carrier Telstra just announced it is officially in testing for its network with an ETA of June 1. Samsung UK also recently tweeted an acknowledgement of issues being experienced by S5 owners and promised to address them with micro updates, which have yet to arrive.

Galaxy S4: Sprint just joined Verizon and AT&T in the U.S. in issuing the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S4. The update is still not available on U.S. Cellular or T-Mobile, which still hasn’t even mentioned the device on its official software update page.

Galaxy S3: As we previously reported, Samsung's aging former flagship will not be receiving an Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

Galaxy S5 Mini: While the S5 Mini has not yet received an Android 5.0 Lollipop update in any region, it was officially confirmed by Samsung France to be issued there by the end of June. Now, Samsung Denmark has just confirmed that the device will actually be receiving Android Lollipop 5.0.1, a slightly more advanced build, although it gave no timeframe for its release.

Galaxy S5 Active: The more rugged edition of Samsung’s former flagship is set to receive its latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update in Canada, as carrier Rogers just posted that the update is coming soon for the device.

Galaxy S4 Mini: After a series of conflicting reports regarding whether the S4 Mini will receive an Android 5.0 Lollipop update, two of Samsung's European arms just confirmed that the device will not be receiving it due to memory limitations.

Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy Alpha: No official news has been reported regarding new Android 5.0 Lollipop updates for owners of these Samsung smartphones, but as both have already received updates in some areas, other regions are sure to be added soon.
