While Samsung and HTC have done away with removable batteries and microSD slots, South Korean Android smartphone maker LG is milking these two features in an attempt to one-up its rivals.

For a limited time, LG is offering the LG G4 with an extra battery, a charging cradle and a 32 GB microSD card from SanDisk at no extra charge to the customer. The offer, which lasts until June 21, is clearly LG's way of taking advantage two well-loved features that its competition have decided to get rid of, and it is sure to attract plenty of users who are calling back for the return of removable batteries and expandable storage space in the Galaxy S6 and the One M9.

The extra battery is a similar 3,000 mAh battery like the one that comes inserted into the device. This will help all the power users out there who end up running out of juice by sundown but still need extra power to see them through the night. The battery comes with its own charging cradle, which can be plugged in to any outlet to charge the first battery while still allowing the user to work or play on his G4.

The 32 GB microSD card is protected by a one-year warranty from SanDisk. Although microSD cards are known to deteriorate over time, it is still a good thing that LG has thrown in the extra storage space to supplement the existing 32 GB already built into its flagship smartphone.

The LG G4 has not yet been officially launched in the U.S., but LG has confirmed that it will be selling the smartphone through all the four major wireless carriers and plenty of retail stores. Early buyers can now avail of the promo and get their G4 along with the free extra battery, charging cradle and microSD slot.

From LG's website, customers can choose among AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular, Best Buy or Amazon and they will be redirected to their preferred seller's website where they can purchase the G4. Currently, most of the major carriers are only allowing customers to submit their email addresses to be notified when the G4 becomes available, but Sprint, Best Buy and Amazon are now allowing customers to pre-order the smartphone.

Once the purchase is complete and customers have their G4, LG requests that they upload a picture of the receipt, the device's box with the IMEI number shown and the customer's name address, phone number, email address and carrier to www.lgg4promo.com. LG will process the information and will then ship the extra goodies to the customer at no cost.
