Xbox Live's 'Deals With Gold' program has, for the most part, been full of good offerings for gamers. While it's obviously not as popular as its sister program, Games With Gold (it's hard to beat free stuff), the Deals With Gold promo is worth checking out more often than not. Microsoft's usually got a pretty good selection of cheap games on hand each week - and, if it's part of a franchise deal, you can usually pick up an entire series for a fraction of the regular price.

For this week's deals, Microsoft is discounting some of the biggest games on its latest platform. First up is Call of Duty: Activision's latest shooter, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfighter for the Xbox One is on sale for $50, and the upgraded 'Gold Edition' is only $67 (as opposed to the usual $99). It's not the biggest discount the world has ever seen, but given how rarely Call of Duty games go on sale, any fans of the franchise should definitely pick it up.

It's not just the Xbox One Call of Duty games that are discounted: on the Xbox 360, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2, World at War and Advanced Warfare are all on sale. If you somehow managed to miss out on the biggest franchise in gaming, you're in luck.

Of course, it's not just a weekly Call of Duty sale: on the Xbox One, the roller coaster simulator Scream Ride is $27, while the sci-fi survival horror masterpiece Alien: Isolation is available for $25. Considering the latter is still going at full-price at most other places, it's definitely worth picking up.

That being said, Alien Isolation is definitely not for the faint of heart...

If you don't have an Xbox One, don't worry: you'll still be able to get in on Alien: Isolation, as it's been discounted on Microsoft's last-gen machine as well. In fact, you'll actually save a couple bucks, too - Alien: Isolation is only $20 on the Xbox 360.

This week's Deals With Gold may not have all that much variety, but at least there's plenty for shooter fans! If you're looking to pick any of these games up for cheap, head on over to the Microsoft store.
