This may come as a surprise to some, but winter in the Czech Republic is extremely harsh. This isn't some East Coast "oh there's so much snow" sort of season: winter in the Czech Republic isn't just cold, or snowy...it's something you have to survive.

If you're looking for proof, just ask Morgan Freeman, or Clive Owen, or anyone else on the set of the medieval action movie Last Knights: from the looks of things, working on set and filming the movie itself was a whole lot of fun...unfortunately, the weather itself may have put a bit of a damper on things.

Given the conditions, it makes sense: when the crew starts making jokes about the fact that no one's toes are falling off, you know that's one serious snowstorm.

That being said, the ridiculously cold weather wasn't the only thing that the cast and crew had to deal with on set:

Alright, so the cold really was the only thing causing trouble on-set...then again, Morgan Freeman swinging a sword around probably didn't put anyone at ease (even if it looked cool). Maybe it's just a case of the actors being too used to the warm, sunny beaches of Hollywood...

For those who haven't seen the film just yet, Lionsgate describes Last Knights as the tale of "A fallen warrior rises against a corrupt and sadistic ruler to avenge his dishonored master in a sword-clashing adventure of loyalty, honor, and vengeance."

Cold weather or not, it won't be long before you can see Last Knights for yourself: the movie hits Blu-Ray and DVD on June 30!
