Motorola is expected to announce its next-generation flagship smartphone, the Moto X (2015) soon. The company's mid-range Moto G (2015) just leaked in the form of HD press renders.

Just like Microsoft, who found its greatest smartphone success in the mid-range market, Motorola's biggest smartphone hit to date has been its affordable Moto G. The original Moto G, which was released in 2013 brought features like a 4.5-inch 720p HD display and quad-core processing to consumers in an affordable smartphone priced under $200. After the smartphone was on sale for six months, Motorola announced that the device had become its best-selling smartphone.

Motorola released its successor, the 'New Moto G' last September and upgraded the smartphone's rear camera from the original's 5-megapixels to 8-megapixels and won rave reviews for its inclusion of stereo speakers on a mid-range smartphone priced below $200.

Motorola is widely expected to update its flagship Moto X in the near future and recent reports have suggested the company will take a page out of Apple's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus playbook by launching a 5.2-inch smartphone and 5.7-inch phablet when its released in the coming months. The company is also planning on introducing an upgraded Moto G (2015) and HD press renders for the smartphone have just leaked.

TechnoBuffalo received an anonymous tip in the form of what are reportedly official Motorola press images for the third-generation Moto G. The smartphone will use a very similar design to the current Moto G and retain its front-facing stereo speakers. The tipster didn't provide the site with official specs, but latest reports have claimed the Moto G (2015) will sport a 4.97-inch 720p HD display, ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, and will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 1GB of RAM.

The Moto G (2015) will reportedly include a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chat. It will ship with 8GB of internal storage, which will be expandable via a microSD expansion slot.

Motorola is reportedly planning to announce the Moto G (2015) in July. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any new info regarding the smartphone.
