T-Mobile has a major surprise up its sleeve for consumers.

How do we know? The network operator's CEO, John Legere, has spilled the beans of something "fantastic" slated for next week.

On Thursday, July 2, Legere revealed during a live stream on Periscope that T-Mobile was "coming out with something great next week."

Legere also let on that he could possibly be on the TV in the coming week, suggesting that T-Mobile's impending announcement is poised to be an important affair. Legere, however, did not divulge what plans T-Mobile has up its sleeve.

So, what could T-Mobile's mysterious plans be? What is the "great" that Legere hinted at? Perhaps, T-Mobile is looking at yet another Uncarrier Amped move.

For the unfamiliar, in March 2013, T-Mobile launched its Uncarrier plans, which enabled consumers to purchase a handset from the network operator without the usual hassles of long-term contracts.

On June 25 this year, as we reported T-Mobile introduced its "JUMP! On Demand" program, which gives consumers the option to swap smartphones not once but a maximum of three times a year.

"JUMP! On Demand is the best way to get a new smartphone whenever you want. Zero out the door. Zero at upgrade. Zero fees. Zero wait. Zero BS," said Legere at the time.

When T-Mobile teased its Uncarrier Amped initiative prior to the June 25 announcement, his invite let on that the carrier would be "amping up several of our most wildly popular Uncarrier moves in a major way — making them even bigger, even better, even ballsier" in the coming weeks.

Therefore, a possibility exists that T-Mobile had yet another announcement in the pipeline and did not lay out all its cards on the table at one go.

Legere has also let on that T-Mobile is working toward getting Apple Music integrated with Music Freedom. He did not give a time window for the same, simply saying that "it'll get done."
