Just Cause 3 is shaping up to be one of the most absurd (and absurdly fun) open world titles of the year. The game series prides itself on being over-the-top and granting players a huge level of freedom.

Much of that freedom comes from the game's grappling hook, which allows players to latch onto all kinds of surfaces and objects, including jets flying through the air. There's a reason the grappling hook is featured on the game's logo: it's what makes Just Cause, Just Cause. It shouldn't be surprising, then, that fans voted to include the grappling hook in the Just Cause 3 Collector's Edition, now available for pre-order.

The Collector's Edition will include a 15-inch replica version of Rico's grappling hook from the game, a 32-page hardcover art book, a 24-by-24-inch poster and some in-game content in the form of the "Weaponized Vehicle Pack." All that will set you back $110.

But let's go back to the grappling hook, shall we? It's a seriously cool prop that major fans of the franchise will definitely want to consider picking up.

"We wanted to give fans a Collector's Edition that speaks to their breed of fun... Out of all the items we offered, the grappling hook was by far the most popular," said Damian Garcia, senior marketing manager at Square Enix.

It's a shame the prop isn't an actual grappling hook. That would be crazy but not unheard of. Collector's Editions for games have gotten pretty extreme over the years, from night vision goggles to drivable RC cars. Would a usable grappling hook really be that crazy?

Then again, a prop grappling hook is probably for the best. The developers wouldn't want fans to hurt themselves trying to grapple hook planes.

Just Cause 3 will be available December 1 on Xbox One, PlayStation and PC.
