Production of the Pebble Time Steel will begin this week, with all the reward watches for the product's Kickstarter campaign to be made within the month, according to smartwatch maker Pebble.

Pebble also said that the shipments for the first backers of the Pebble Time Steel device will begin in July's final week, with the supporters at the end of the line for the smartwatch to receive their tracking numbers for the Pebble Time Steel by the end of next month.

The reward Pebble Time Steel devices will be shipping as soon as Pebble's distribution centers, located in the United States, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and Ireland, receive the devices from the factory and have processed them for deliveries to the Kickstarter campaign backers.

Pebble admits that the time frame for the delivery of the reward Pebble Time Steel smartwatches are delayed compared to the original dates estimated during the crowdfunding campaign. However, the company promised that the smartwatches will be shipped as soon as possible to waiting backers.

The reward Pebble Time Steel devices should come with a leather band and steel band, with the steel band coming in as a bonus because it will be sold as a separate item once the smartwatch hits the market.

Pebble said that, because of the low initial availability of the metal bands from the company's supplier, the metal bands will be included with the Pebble Time Steel in a single delivery as long as it is possible. Once the metal band inventory runs out, backers who do not receive the accessory along with the Pebble Time Steel will receive their metal bands as a separate shipment once more units of the accessory are produced by the supplier.

In addition to the projected shipment time frame of the Pebble Time Steel, Pebble added that it will begin to send out emails to backers of the smartwatch who are in front of the shipment line to make the necessary finalization on reward details at the Kickstarter Reward Portal. Backers are requested to review the selected finish of the device, the shipping address, the shipping speed and any outstanding balances owed by the backer.

The reminders to review reward details will be sent to backers on a rolling basis as new devices come out of production and are assigned to waiting backers.
