Rumors of Motorola's next flagship smartphone, the Moto E, have been doing the rounds and now more images and specifications of the upcoming handset has leaked online.

The Moto E is expected to make its official launch on Tuesday, May 13, in London. However, Brazilian online retailerFastShop - has posted the specifications of the smartphone along with its images a tad too early. The retailer must have realized its error and now the details of the Moto E have been removed from the concerned website.

Tecnoblog has also posted [in Portuguese] a screenshot of the listing appearing on FastShop. The listing shows the Moto E advertized next to the Moto G, its predecessor.

Based on the FastShop listing, the next-generation Moto E will sport a 4.3-inch display. The retailer did not reveal the screen resolution of the smartphones but it is said to be 720 x 1280 pixels. The Brazilian variant of the Moto E is expected to have dual SIM capability.

A powerful dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2GHz will power the next-gen Motorola device. The smartphone is rumored to have 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Good news for customers who like accessing media files on their smartphones as the storage of Moto E can be expanded further to an additional 32GB using a microSD card.

Many smartphone users use their device to capture images. The Moto E is expected to get a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. Unfortunately, customers who like to take selfies using their handset will be disappointed as the Moto E may not come equipped with a front-facing camera at all.

The upcoming Moto E will run on the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. The smartphone will have Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. The handset will house a powerful 1,980 mAh battery.

At 140 grams (4.93 ounces) the Moto E will be marginally lighter than the Moto G which weighs 143 grams (5.04 ounces). Rumors also indicate that the Moto E will measure 124.8 x 64.8 x 12.3 mm (4.91 x 2.55 x 0.48 inch). However, previous speculations suggested that the Moto E will be just 6.8mm (0.26 inch) thick.

Motorola has not confirmed that it will announce the Moto E at the May 13 event. However, if the handset is revealed at the event it will undoubtedly be released in the UK and maybe in Europe as well. The leaked details on the Brazilian website also suggest that the Moto E will be available in South American countries as well. However, it will be interesting to see when and if the Moto E lands in the U.S.
