If you're a Mini Jambox owner, Jawbone is making it a lot easier for you to listen to some cool music with friends. By now you may have realized that a single Mini Jambox isn't that loud, but have you wondered what two Mini Jambox speakers would sound like? You don't have to wonder anymore.

With the new update released today, Jawbone is allowing users to link two mini speakers for louder music playback. In addition, you and a friend can take turns sending music to the paired speakers, which is quite fantastic and could make for some fun social pastime.

These updates are not unusual for Jawbone, as the company regularly releases updates for its hardware devices. Not too long ago, the company released a software update for the Big Jambox, which added two hours of battery life and improved sound quality.

It's great to see Jawbone choosing to improve its current lineup of devices, rather than push consumers to purchase new hardware for improved performance. Not every company does this, and it's the reason why we have to give Jawbone quite a few points for going down this route.

This move could also work out well for Jawbone where selling more devices is concerned. If you only have a single Mini Jambox, yet want to experience louder sound, you will have to go out and purchase a second. We could also see this working wonders for when one person with a Mini Jambox meets another person with a single Mini Jambox. If the two individuals enjoy the same type of music, both could agree on pairing their devices for louder music.

We view this as a smart move by Jawbone, but one should bear in mind that others have done this before in the past. Logitech has done it with its UE Boom speakers, though it appears Jawbone has done it with more reliable and simpler pairing.

At the end of the day, this is great news for Mini Jambox owners looking to rock a mini party. It is also great news for Jawbone, as this little update could boost sales.
