Microsoft has just announced the latest batch of games on sale for Xbox Live Gold members — and, while the quality of the Deals with Gold sales vary wildly from week to week, this latest set of discounts is definitely worth checking out.

Leading the charge is Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Not only is the Gold Edition 33 percent off, but the Digital Deluxe Edition is also on sale. If you want the core Advanced Warfare experience, stick with the Gold Edition, as it has the basic necessities for single and multiplayer games. However, if you're one of those fans who needs to have every single piece of content, definitely go with the Digital Deluxe edition. Both are available for $39 and $66 respectively — and, considering how rarely any of the Call of Duty games go on sale, now's definitely the time to buy, if you haven't done so already.

Following Call of Duty is Assassin's Creed: specifically, the spectacular fourth installment. If you've ever wanted a pirate simulator, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is for you. In this week's Deals with Gold sale, all Black Flag DLC is on sale — everything from the Season Pass to the multiplayer character packs are 50 percent off. Strangely, there's no discount on the core game, though that's probably because the game was free for Xbox Live Gold members just a few weeks ago.

For Xbox 360 owners, a number of different Need for Speed games are on sale, as well as the base edition of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. A few smaller items, such as Warframe currency on the Xbox One and R.B.I. Baseball on the 360, round out the sale.

Frankly, this week's offerings are a bit more enticing than previous weeks. There are times at which it feels like the Deals with Gold are a few years behind what people are actually playing — thankfully, that's not the case this week.

This week's Deals with Gold will be available starting July 28 and run through August 3. For a full listing of every discount available, head on over to Major Nelson's official blog.
