Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 is the company's current flagship tablet, and you can score a great deal on the device. The 128 GB Intel Core i5 is priced at $999 in Microsoft's store, but thanks to a new deal, consumers can score the slate for $779.

Microsoft is currently in the midst of the highly-anticipated release of its Windows 10 operating system. Unlike previous versions, including Vista and Windows 8, the tech community has given Windows 10 high scores across the board.

The OS was officially released and went on sale on July 29, and the company also began making the update available for users entitled to a free upgrade to its latest and greatest OS.

Unlike Windows 8's live tiles-centric UI, Windows 10 brings the focus back to the iconic Start menu Windows users have been accustomed to since Windows 95. Live tiles can now run in the Start menu, Microsoft Edge has replaced Internet Explorer in the Web browsing department and Microsoft's answer to Apple's Siri, Cortana, is also among the many new features included.

Microsoft is offering Windows 10 as a free upgrade for its Surface 3 and Surface Pro 3 tablets, and if you've been considering making the jump to a Surface, a new deal provides a great savings over Microsoft's current pricing. The company currently sells the 12-inch full HD Surface Pro 3 128 GB / Intel Core i5 — 1.9 GHz / 4 GB of RAM model for $999, but you can now pick up the same tablet for significantly less.

A new and limited time deal via eBay is offering the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 128 GB / Intel Core i5 — 1.9 GHz / 4 GB of RAM variant for $779.99, which also includes free shipping. The Surface Pro 3 features a 12-inch 2160 by 1440 pixel display and runs Windows 8.1, which can be upgraded to Windows 10 out of the box. It's powered by Intel's fourth generation Core i5 processor running at 1.9 GHz. You'll be able to expand its 128 GB of internal storage via a microSD expansion slot, and its kickstand allows you to easily transform it into a laptop with a Surface Pro 3 Type Cover. Or, if you prefer, you can use the included Surface Pen to write or draw on the screen.
