A new teaser for ABC's Once Upon a Time season 5 debuted during Disney's D23 Expo 2015, giving fans a look at what happens after Emma Swan sacrifices herself to become the Dark One in the final moments of the season finale.

In case you need a refresher, in the season 4 finale, Emma (played by Jennifer Morrison) goes from being the Savior to becoming the Dark One to save Regina Mills (Lana Parrilla), asking her parents Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas) to come along to take the darkness out of her. Even though Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) pleads with Emma not to make the sacrifice, she does and Emma is pulled into the darkness, vanishing before them.

The teaser, which is just over a minute of the season 5 premiere, picks up right where the show left off, revealing what happens after Emma is swallowed up into the darkness.

Regina, Snow, Charming, Henry (Jared Gilmore), Robin (Sean Maguire) and Hook are left standing in the street of Storybrooke, stunned with the events that just took place.

"How could she be so stupid?" Regina asks, while Snow puts her in her place, reminding her that she made the sacrifice for her.

Henry then comes to the realization that Emma is now the Dark One, as the dagger drops to the ground with "Emma Swan" written across the blade.

"Dark One, with this dagger I command thee. Return," Hook cries, but nothing happens.

With the dagger, Hook should be able to summon the Dark One from any corner of the world. Since they cannot command Emma to appear, there is only one assumption to be made—Emma Swan is longer in this world.

Once Upon a Time returns Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC. What the first minute of season 5 in the teaser clip below.
