Like its GPS brother-in-arms Garmin, TomTom has doubled down on the wearable world as in-car navigation systems continue their decline. Thus far, the company has failed to make as large a splash in the space as its competition, but TomTom continues to plug away with products like the Spark.

From a hardware standpoint, the wearable is pretty unremarkable. It's got a long, monochrome display without a touchscreen - instead, there's a big toggle button below the screen for navigation. I watched several passers-by get slightly frustrated attempting to swipe their way through the menus.

The single large toggle button is built directly into the rugged, rubberized strap, which fits snuggly on the wrist.

It's a fairly lackluster design, all said, but TomTom's looking to set itself apart with some interesting functionality - namely, the fact that it doubles as a music player. There's 3 GB of storage built into the activity tracker, which will fit around 500 songs by the company's estimates.

The Spark pairs with Bluetooth headphones, so users can listen wirelessly during their workout. What's that, you say? You don't own any? Good news, since TomTom also launched a pair of those at this show, the straightforwardly-named Fitness Headphones.
