Apple's upcoming iPhone 6 has leaked in images that show it next to other popular smartphones. The most recent leak shows the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 in the middle of an iPhone 5s and HTC One M8.

Android smartphone fans have been bragging for years that they've been enjoying larger 5-inch-plus smartphone displays, unlike iPhone users who have been stuck with 3.5-inch or 4-inch displays. Steve Jobs famously said that Android smartphones with 4-inch and above screens would be dead on arrival, since he believed the 3.5-inch display on the original iPhone through iPhone 4S was the perfect size.

After Jobs' death, it became clear to Apple and its new CEO Tim Cook that iPhone fans wanted larger displays. Rather than jumping into popular Android smartphone sizes, Apple moved from a 3.5-inch display to a 4-inch display with the release of the iPhone 5 in September 2012 and the company is about to go even bigger with the iPhone 6.

This year Apple is going to take a two-pronged approach with its next flagship smartphone. The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is targeted at smartphones like Samsung's Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8, while the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 has Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 and Note 4 in its sights.

The iPhone 6 has been taking photo shoots with some of the most popular smartphone's on the market. We've already shown you how the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 stacks up to the 4-inch iPhone 5s. Apple's iPhone 6 also was also photographed in a comparison image with the Samsung Galaxy S5. Now the smartphone has been spotted next to the HTC One M8.

New images of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 have leaked and this time it's cozying up the 5-inch HTC One M8. The image shows the iPhone 6 in the middle of an iPhone 5s and HTC One M8, and as you can see it's very close in overall size to the HTC One M8. Other images posted show just how thin Apple has been able to make the iPhone 6.

The iPhone 6 in the images is reportedly a "beta iPhone 6" and not a fully functioning smartphone. If you've been envious of larger Android smartphones but couldn't imagine making the switch, Apple is sure to please you in the fall. We'll keep you posted on all new iPhone 6 news as it happens.
