Every year, the Tokyo Game Show is home to some of the best cosplayers Japan has to offer. These aren't fans strolling around in pre-made costumes, these are professional models showing off just how intricate and detailed a cosplay can be.

Of course, some are better than others — and some are just on an entirely different level from everything else.

Metal Gear Solid, from a cosplay perspective, isn't the easiest series to pay homage to. Sure, Solid Snake's outfit from the first game isn't that hard to pull off, but when you've got characters with giant Doctor Octopus arms and exoskeletons, the average cosplayer might have a bit of trouble putting something together. That being said, such ridiculous complexity didn't stop Japanese cosplayer Masazi from tackling one of the franchise's most popular characters.

Raiden's design in Metal Gear Solid 4 is amazing, but it doesn't seem like something that would translate into an actual costume. Clearly, Masazi took that as a challenge — and, as a result, created one of the most stunningly accurate Metal Gear costumes to date.

The attention to detail given to this one costume is absolutely insane. Seemingly, every little piece of Raiden's cyborg body has been faithfully recreated, from the bolts on his chest to the text on his goggles. Even the boots — high heels and all — were perfectly sculpted.

Also, honestly, the costume wouldn't be half as cool as it is without the motorized helmet and goggles. Seriously — they're both amazing and adorable.

You know, after seeing Raiden's costume like this, maybe a live-action Metal Gear Solid film series wouldn't be such a bad idea after all ...
