For the guy in this unboxing video, "excited" may be the biggest understatement for the holiday season.

But then again, who can blame him?

The Air Hogs Star Wars Remote Control X-Wing Starfighter is everything we've hoped for, and so much more. It utilizes true ducted fans embedded in the wings to power its flight. It is built from crash-resistant materials and includes four laser cannons, a remote control and an instruction guide.

The R/C X-Wing Starfighter is meant for kids aged eight and above. It comes in white and is around 1 pound in shipping weight. The use of the intuitive remote control comes relatively easy, after a bit of practice. Six AA batteries are required for operation.

There have been mixed reviews from various online retailers for the R/C X-Wing Starfighter. Some were amazed by the durability of the toy.

"When first taken out of the package we thought the foam construction would not last a day. We were pleasantly surprised. After many many crashes while trying to dial in the anti-turn control, it is still in perfect condition," user Wendy924 said. "With practice this Air Hog does what it's advertised to do."

Others, however, did not share the same enthusiasm.

"What a letdown! As a child of the 70s, you dreamt of flying an X-wing - and the chance finally comes ... shame it has to be the validation of what my Dad always told me. 'If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.' Save your $$ and spare your kids (and yourself) some frustration. Stay away," wrote Matthew Barry.
