She's on the right track baby, she was born this way.

Lady Gaga has been raving about playing Countess Elizabeth on the upcoming season of American Horror Story.

The Countess is the glamorous, blood-thirsty owner of Hotel Cortez. The pop star takes on the role of a seemingly undead character, but she claims that this role has done nothing but make her feel the opposite.

"It's been so fun," she shared, "Everybody on this cast has been really open and available to me in a very honest way, so I'm able to be myself in a way I feel like I haven't been in a really long time, so they are just making me feel so alive."

Gaga took to Twitter to express her excitement over the event premiere.

"Can't believe I'm about to go to my 1st premiere as an actress! I couldn't be more honored to be a part of this talented magical cast," she posted.

Series costume designer Lou Eyrich shared how Gaga's personal style influenced her fashion choices.

"We wanted her to be very elegant, sexy, seductive, mysterious, and unexpected as well. Since she's so fashion-forward, the first thing I did was look at the most recent runway shows," she says in an interview.

Little Monsters may want to be on the lookout for items from their Mother Monster's own wardrobe.

"Well, Gaga was so generous and offered to bring pieces in from her own personal archive. So let's just say that her fans are going to get a big treat when they see something that I'm not going to give away!" Eyrich adds.

The Countess is in for a wild ride this season on the series, including a graphic scene co-starring Matt Bomer. Director Ryan Murphy (Nip/Tuck, Glee) expressed his amazement at the pop star's openness as regards the said scene.

"She's the only actress I think I've worked with who wanted to do more explicit stuff than was written. You write a foursome for her and you expect a lot of questions. She never did that. She showed up and she was wearing diamond pasties, a Band-Aid on her hoo-ha, heels, and a black veil that Alexander McQueen made for her on the day before his death. Then the crew gasped in delight and we were off!" he says.

Lady Gaga's production raves on American Horror Story has made headlines and has served to pique viewer's interest towards the upcoming season.

American Horror Story premieres Oct. 7, 10 pm ET on FX.
