The good news is we finally have an official release date for The Sims 4: Get Together. The bad news is the new expansion pack's release date has been pushed back.

Get Together will now be released in North America on December 8 and will roll out to the rest of the world later that week, according to a news post on The Sims 4's official website published Wednesday. The expansion pack was originally scheduled to be released in November of this year.

"We're taking this time to add more polish and depth into the core of The Sims 4: Get Together. We think this time will allow us to make the experience even bigger, better, and cooler," the news post read.

Now that The Sims 4 team members have a little more time before the new expansion pack is released, they're adding more personalization to what will be the biggest gameplay change: the ability to have your Sims be a part of social Clubs. In addition to giving each Club its own rules, characteristics and preferences, you'll now be able to set a signature spot for each of your Clubs — because we all know every group of friends needs its own haunt.

The Sims 4 team will also be taking this time to work on adding even more new items to the game, including a new board game called "Don't Wake the Llama" – which, if the above photo is a clue, looks to be a Jenga-like block-stacking game – and a diving rock for the Natural Pool.

Well, we may not be getting our hands on Get Together in November, but we should expect more information to be revealed about the game early on in the month.
