Apple has begun selling the unlocked SIM-free version of the new iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.
A SIM-free phone has many advantages over a handset taken on a specific carrier. A SIM-free smartphone is not locked to any carrier, which means that the purchaser has the freedom to use the phone on any carrier.
The SIM-free iPhone 6s have a code of A1633 and the iPhone 6s Plus SIM-free models bear a label of A1634.
Normally, when a smartphone is taken via a carrier then the network offer the handset at a subsidized rate. Although, a SIM-free handset means freedom from contracts but the purchaser has to pay full value of the phone upfront.
"Purchasing a SIM-free iPhone means you will not qualify for the lower iPhone price associated with a contract or a carrier installment plan," per Apple. "If you don't want a multiyear service contract, or if you prefer to use a local carrier when traveling abroad, the SIM-free iPhone is the best choice."
The iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus pack in top-end features that attracts millions of smartphone customers. Both the iPhones run on the latest iOS 9 and have an improved camera.

The new-generation iPhones are currently the only smartphones that have Live Photos, which is a new way to capture favorite memories. Live Photos allow capturing 1.5 second of video just before taking an image and 1.5 second of video after taking the image, which puts life in pictures snapped.
The iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus are available in three internal storage options: 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. The new iPhones are available in four different colors: Silver, Gold, Space Gray and Rose Gold, to suit personal preference.
The starting price tag for the SIM-free iPhone 6s is $649 and the iPhone 6s Plus is $749.
